Entry into the
U.S. virgin Islands

Easy as 1-2-3 (updated March 19, 2022)

If you are a US Cititzen, you DO NOT need a passport to visit any of the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix, Water Island) but you MUST demonstrate either vaccination proof or a negative Covid test.

You do NOT need a Covid test when returning home unless your state requires it - the USVI is not considered a Non US entry so a negative Covid test to go back home is NOT required.

Step 1 (only for Non-Vaccinated)

Schedule your Covid test to be taken 5 days before departure date (see graphic). CVS, Walgreens among others allow you to schedule your appointment online months in advance
and take the test via a drive-thru window.

Step 2 (only for Non-Vaccinated)

CVS, Walgreens and others will email you a pdf test result;
be sure to print AND download the pdf because in step 3 you will be asked to upload it to the USVI portal.

Step 3 (Applies to All, Both Vaccinated and Non-Vaccinated)

You MUST Go visit the U.S. Virgin Islands Travel Screening Link (click here) and Fill out the Form, be sure to print out and have accessible to show upon landing.

PRINIT OUT BOTH the response from the USVI portal, including the QR code AND the negative test result. Alternatively you could show the results on your mobile device as well.

You may need to show this paperwork before boarding the plane.

You will be requied to show QR code and ID upon landing in St Thomas.
